    BMI or Body Mass Index is a tool that helps your doctor work out your weight category and your level of health risk due to your weight. BMI is calculated from your height and weight.     Measuring your waist circumference is another way to access health risks related to your weight. Generally, if your waist measurement is over 94 cm for a man or over 80 cm for a woman, your health is more likely to be at risk. These guideline figures can vary though depending on your ethnic background. Once you have measured your waist and filled in your details you can check your results against the chart.

    2. Breathe out normally
    3. Ensure the tape is snug, without compressing the skin
    4. Measure halfway between the lowest rib and the top of the hipbone, roughly in line with the belly button.
